A standout achievement was the First Prize in the National Technological Invention Award for the project "Extreme Condition High-Temperature Metal Material Modulation Technology and Experimental System", led by Academician Wei Bingbo. This project, developed over 26 years, utilizes electrostatic, ultrasonic, and electromagnetic fields to create microgravity and deep supercooling conditions in space, marking a significant advancement in space material science.

In addition, Professor Han Junwei from the School of Automation received a Second Prize in the National Natural Science Award for his research on "Brain Function and Visual Information Collaborative Computing Theory and Methods." This work addresses the challenge of enabling computers to analyze visual information akin to the human brain, opening new directions in brain-inspired visual information analysis.

Professor Li Jinshan from the School of Materials led a project that won a Second Prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award. This project developed key technologies for the homogeneous manufacturing of high-performance titanium alloys, enhancing China's aerospace manufacturing capabilities.

Additionally, Professor Wang Ling and Professor Wan Xiaopeng contributed to projects that also received Second Prizes in the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Russian expert Artem Oganov was honored with the International Science and Technology Cooperation Awards of the People's Republic of China for his contributions to materials genome engineering and Sino-Russian scientific collaboration at NPU.
