
On November 28, Xi'an Jiaotong University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University launched the MBA program for the class of 2025 at Xi'an Jiaotong University in Xi’an, Shaanxi province. The event gathered over 200 attendees, including university management, alumni, and student representatives, to inaugurate a program that combines international perspectives with China's unique context.
Established on August 16, 2002, with approval from the Ministry of Education and the State Council, the program is based at the School of Management, Xi'an Jiaotong University. The updated curriculum focuses on financial knowledge and offers diverse electives to meet the demands of the Greater Bay Area's development and corporate management, particularly in finance.
Graduates earn a degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a postgraduate certificate from Xi'an Jiaotong University. Over its 23-year history, the program has produced leaders who significantly contribute to socio-economic development.
Ma Xiaobin, Party committee secretary of the School of Management at Xi'an Jiaotong University, praised students for their foresight in returning to study amid economic changes. He emphasized the program's aim to develop business leaders with patriotism, innovation, and global vision, supporting technological self-reliance and national rejuvenation.
Lu Haitian, director of Mainland Development at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, highlighted the universities' long-standing partnership and the program's role in regional and national talent development.
The opening ceremony underscored the collaboration between the universities and their commitment to fostering innovative talent. The program is poised to equip students with the skills needed to navigate and lead in emerging fields.
