On November 8, Xi'an University of Technology hosted a pivotal conference at its Qujiang campus, aimed at enhancing the integration of industry, education, and science. The event, overseen by Shaanxi's Provincial Departments of Education, Science and Technology, and Industry and Information Technology, focused on fostering collaboration between educational institutions and enterprises.

During the conference, the university announced the establishment of 13 new institutions, including the Undergraduate College, the Science and Technology Research Institute, and the Future Technology College. A notable addition is the Artificial Intelligence Cross Modern Industry College, developed in partnership with Huawei. These initiatives support the "Shaanxi Education to Strengthen Province Construction Plan Outline (2024-2035)" and align with national and regional development strategies.
Li Zhijun, secretary of the Party Committee of Xi'an University of Technology, highlighted the necessity of integrating industry and education to drive national rejuvenation through science and technology. The university is committed to educational reforms, enhancing talent cultivation, and strengthening links across the education, technology, and industry sectors.
The conference also included the signing of a joint construction agreement with 36 enterprises, to establish collaborative training models for graduate students. The Excellent Engineering College, a key initiative, integrates over 280 practical resources to foster industry-education collaboration, aiming to cultivate high-level talents with technological innovation and problem-solving skills.
Additionally, the university launched the "Shaanxi Province Aluminum Magnesium Molybdenum Deep Processing Key Industry Chain and Discipline Chain Collaborative Innovation Alliance" to promote industry-academia-research collaboration and innovation.
The event concluded with a strategic cooperation agreement between the university and the Shaanxi Department of Industry and Information Technology, enhancing the transformation of academic strengths into industrial competitiveness.
