In Xi'an, Shaanxi province, the Shaanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Development Research Association and Xi'an Biomedical Technology Vocational College's Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance School announced the 2025 autumn enrollment plan on May 15. Their goal is to train 200 traditional Chinese medicine practitioners for urban and rural communities, strengthening traditional medicine's presence in grassroots healthcare.

President Zhang Jian highlighted the innovative "apprenticeship system + college system" training model, aiming to address talent shortages in grassroots traditional Chinese medicine. Dean Liu Jintian emphasized the college's commitment to healthcare talent development and collaboration with Xi'an Jiaotong University.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance School, established in 2023, combines the mentorship system with traditional college education, setting new standards for talent cultivation in the field.

The upcoming autumn recruitment drive will target 200 students nationwide, with a focus on community TCM practitioners. Preference will be given to high school graduates interested in serving urban and rural health centers.

This program launch marks a significant advance for traditional Chinese medicine education in Shaanxi, providing a new avenue for individuals passionate about TCM and community service, vital for the preservation and evolution of traditional healing practices.
