On Dec 29, Xi'an Jiaotong University hosted its 2024 Winter Graduate Degree Awarding Ceremony, where 1,605 graduates embarked on a new journey in their lives.
Vice President Hong Jun shared that following the university's degree evaluation committee’s assessment in September, a total of 1,605 graduate degrees were conferred, including 855 doctoral degrees and 750 master's degrees.Hong said that the majority of graduates enter higher education institutions, medical and health institutions, scientific research institutions, government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, State-owned enterprises, and research and design units.
Zhang Liqun, president of Xi'an Jiaotong University and academician of the CAE Member, congratulated the graduates and urged them to continue learning, be brave in innovation, flexibly apply what they have learned, and find the best solutions in complex situations in order to constantly surpass themselves and cultivate their future core competitiveness.
The president hopes that graduates can closely link their personal struggles with the future of the country and the progress of society, be independent and self-reliant, explore and innovate, dare to explore and break through, combine innovative spirit with practical ability, and become the backbone of promoting social progress and technological innovation in the new era.
