The beginning of this summer vacation will see a Social Practice Team of Northwestern Polytechnical University targets Xi'an and Quanzhou, both of which have rich cultural heritage, to vividly and intuitively experience the enduring cultural vitality of the Chinese nation.
Visiting the inland city of Xi'an, Shaanxi in Northwest China, and the port city of Quanzhou, Fujian, on the southeast coast, the starting points of the ancient overland and maritime Silk Roads, respectively, will help the practice team to understand the ideological essence and moral essence of Chinese traditional culture, , enhance cultural self-confidence, and better build the Chinese spirit, its value, and power.
From June 27 to 28, the practice team completed their learning and practice in Xi'an.
The first stop of the practice team was at the Anren Fang Site Exhibition Hall, which seemed like a door to time and space. Based on the Tang Dynasty Anren Fang mansion was excavated by archaeologist, who opened a window for the practice team to explore ancient life.
The exhibition hall is not only the guardian of the site, but also the inheritor and distributor of Tang culture. Shuttling through the magnificent exhibits, each step made the practice team feel the profoundness and beauty of Tang Dynasty culture.

On the afternoon of June 27, the social practice team went to Xi'an Cultural Heritage Museum using a local guide to learn about the various items that are on display in the Museum.
The practice team members have in-depth learning and communication with volunteer interpreters from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, the practice team later went to the Silk Road reception hall in Central Asia Park where they also learned about the mysterious and elegant cultures of the five Central Asian countries.
The Silk Road has built a bridge of communication between China and foreign countries, tightly weaving the world together and nurturing the flowers of civilization and the fruits of cooperation. In addition, this ancient commercial route has also promoted the integrated development of economies and technology in various countries. The Silk Road enables people from all over the world to exchange and learn from each other, and create a better future together.
