Xi'an Vocational University of Automobile in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China, held its 2024 Campus Automotive Technology and Culture Festival from June 12-22, aiming to enrich the construction of school's automotive culture.

Lei Yaping, executive president of the university, stated in her speech that the school will take this festival as an opportunity to fully showcase the achievements and strength of the school in automotive technology education through car works designed by teachers and students, innovative technology exhibitions, and professional skills competitions.

She hoped to further broaden students’ horizons, stimulate innovative thinking, and provide strong support for enterprises to cultivate more automotive professionals with innovative spirit and practical abilities through such communication platforms.

The event took place across five distinct zones: a static vehicle display area, a showcase for car and motorcycle accessories, an autonomous driving travel exhibition, a zone dedicated to car and motorcycle sports and riding experiences, and a cultural immersion area focusing on the history and significance of car trunks. On display was  a wide array of vehicles ranging from supercars, racing cars, and off-road vehicles to customized rides, classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Moreover, the event featured engaging interactive activities including automotive knowledge competitions, automotive skills challenges, automotive cultural quizzes, model car contests, autonomous vehicle test rides, motorcycle competitions, and more. These activities were designed to reinforce students' expertise, boost practical skills, foster innovative thinking, and enhance scientific research capabilities through avenues such as automotive and motorcycle stunt showcases, equipment exhibitions, DJ performances, technology competitions, test drives, and academic exchanges.
