The International Academic Forum on Social Sciences Development and Innovative Marxism & Inaugural Workshop of the International English Journal "World Marxist Review" was held on June 21-23 at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) headquartered in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China.

Yang Xiao, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Cheng Enfu, member of the Academic Department of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, president of the World Political Economy Society, chief professor of the University of Social Sciences, and professor of the School of Marxism at Northwestern Polytechnical University, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony of the forum.

The forum focused on the theme of "Development and Innovation of Marxism in Social Sciences at Home and Abroad", with four sub forums established to discuss the development of social sciences at home and abroad and the progress of human civilization, the latest developments in international Marxism, the international dissemination and mutual learning of Marxism's sinicization and modernization, and conducted in-depth discussions on the common values of all humanity and the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

The forum focused on the cutting-edge developments in social sciences both domestically and internationally, as well as the latest progress and exchange of new achievements in Marxist theory in various countries. Many innovative theoretical achievements and ideological viewpoints have emerged, making it a profound and innovative academic feast. It has profound theoretical and practical significance for enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between Chinese and foreign social sciences, promoting the progress and development of world Marxist research.

At the forum, nearly 200 experts, scholars, college teachers and students from 8 countries, including China, the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Australia, Italy, and Türkiye, exchanged ideas and discussed the latest progress and new achievements of Marxism in the development and innovation of social sciences at home and abroad.
