Alliance established for talent training in transportation infrastructure

The founding ceremony of the China- Central Asian Alliance for Talent Development in Transportation Infrastructure was held on Nov 17 at Chang'an University in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, Northwest China.

More than 200 representatives, including officials from the Ministry of Education and the provincial education department, presidents of Chinese and central-Asian universities, as well as those from scientific research institutes, enterprises and institutions at home and abroad, attended the meeting.

After the alliance was announced, the conference signed an order-based joint training agreement between Chang'an University, the Institute of Urban-planning of Uzbekistan and the University of Central Asian.

Before the meeting, Sha Aimin, president of Chang'an University, met with the guests and introduced the current situation of his school and the preparation made ahead of the alliance.

On the same day, the first council of the alliance was held, and the meeting reviewed the Charter of the China-Central Asian Five-Country Talent Training Alliance in the Field of Transportation Infrastructure, and elected the executive director unit and chairman of the first council.

Sha Aimin was elected as the first chairman of the alliance and issued the Xi'an Declaration.

Initiated by Chang'an University, the alliance is a non-governmental, non-profit, open and international educational cooperation alliance between China and transportation universities and engineering enterprises in five Central Asian countries.

The alliance is committed to jointly building a talent training cooperation platform in the field of transportation infrastructure for China and Central Asia, promoting multi-dimensional friendly cooperation among members of the alliance, and building a China-Central Asia community with "hard connectivity" transportation infrastructure, "soft connectivity" of transportation technology standards, and "heart connectivity" of international professionals.

The alliance aims to further serve the national Belt and Road Initiative, help with the comprehensive revival of the Silk Road, and promote the common development and prosperity of all countries.
