The competition closely followed the theme of "Chinese: Enhancing Civilization Dialogue" on International Chinese Day 2023, building a platform for young scholars from various countries to exchange, cooperate, and share ideas, according to Song Baowei, president of Northwestern Polytechnical University.
Gao Ling, deputy director of the Education Department of Shaanxi Province, said the competition was a vivid reflection of Shaanxi province's achievements in education, opening up to the outside world, and demonstrating the understanding and love of Chinese culture among students from various countries.
The event aims to promote international Chinese education in Shaanxi province and the internationalization of Chinese culture. It also serves to deepen global understanding of Shaanxi and China, Gao added.
