The Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) won the Best Organization Award of International Organization Career Development (IOCD) 2023 Winter Term, a practice project for university students held from Jan 9 to Feb 11, 2023.

The project aims to implement the relevant requirements for participating in the reform and construction of the global governance system, with a focus on expanding students' international vision, improving students' global competence, and cultivating international talents through participation in the construction of global governance.
Under the guidance of the International Cooperation Office and the Youth League Committee, the NPU Student Global Competency Development Guidance Center selected 25 students from 8 colleges to participate in the project.
The practice project lasted one month and was divided into online and offline (Macao) modules, attracting nearly 50 domestic and foreign students from China, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Türkiye, Bangladesh and India.

In the three-week online module from January 9 to February 5, the team members carried out practice and research projects around the five themes of "sustainable production and consumption", "international public procurement", "digital and agricultural economy", "refrigeration and sustainable energy", and "carbon neutrality and youth leadership".
From February 6 to February 11, the practitioners gathered at the UNU-Macau Institute to deliver the results of various practical projects, listen to the consultant of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research to teach diplomatic etiquette, learn about the sharing of sustainable development goals and digital technology among the project managers and researchers of the UNU-Macau Institute, and understand the post experience of communication posts and research posts in international organizations.
