China Overseas-Education Scholars Development Foundation (COSDF) and Yingke Law Firm announced on Aug 8 the establishment of the global one-hour legal service platform for Chinese overseas talents and enterprises.

The platform will provide emergency legal assistance for overseas students and enterprises around the world.

Cao Weizhou, director-general of COSDF, said that in the new era, how to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of overseas students and entrepreneurs is a real problem.  This cooperation will meet the needs of Chinese students studying abroad and Chinese enterprises conducting international business.

Xu Changdong, deputy director-general of COSDF, stressed the importance of resolving disputes encountered in the process of foreign investment. It is believed that the platform will further help China companies integrate into the global economic and trade system.

The platform will provide guidance and services for overseas students to engage in the transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements abroad, obtain intellectual property protection, and provide solid legal guarantees for venture capital businesses, according to Wang Chaoyong, deputy director-general of COSDF.

It is believed that both parties can safeguard the rights and interests of Chinese overseas talents and help Chinese enterprises "go global" through a reasonable legal network, said Mo Jihong, a law professor at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
