Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), headquartered in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, Northwest China, kicked off its 2022 Global Partnership Week on the end of May in order to further explore the new mode of international higher education cooperation.

The opening ceremony of the event held on the end of May in Xi’an. 

Song Baowei, vice president of NPU, said that NPU would take the opportunity of Global Partner Week 2022 to consolidate and strengthen friendly and cooperative relations with other universities, and would continue to accelerate the development of itself as a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.

Du Xiaoyan, official of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, hoped for NPU to always adhere to the concept of a Community of a Shared Future for Mankind, broaden the channels of talent cultivation and reserves, and cultivate innovative talents with more international competitiveness and cross-cultural leadership.

According to Song, more than 40 world-class universities and research institutes from across 12 countries, including Cambridge University, the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, will conduct online seminars and project presentations with NPU in the middle  of and in late May. 

Oversea scholars attended the event online, where they reviewed their history of cooperation with NPU and expressed their best wishes for future cooperation.
