Tianjin International Chinese College (TICC) is an accredited Chinese language organization.Founded in 2013, it is dedicated to helping students who wish to pursue higher education, conduct business, or explore and live in China.

With experienced and professional teachers, 80 percent of whom have obtained a master’s degree or higher with more than 2,000 teaching hours, it strives to provide the best learning experience for its students.

As of today, TICC has served more than 20,000 students from 50 countries and regions, including North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australasia.

It offers various programs to students worldwide, including the Foundation Chinese Language Program, University Preparation Program, Test Preparation Program, Business Chinese Program, and Overseas Chinese Learning Program.

TICC offers students internships and opportunities to visit and learn about China in person. TICC is proud to be considered as a gateway to Chinese language and culture through its online and onsite programs.

From 2017, TICC started to focus on online programs and soon launched a new program named “Preplingo” that introduces students to Mandarin Chinese with a tech-based learning platform.

There are four main online courses targeting overseas Chinese learners ranging from pre-school to college students.

For non-native Chinese-speaking students from preschool through 6th grade, the Introductory Chinese Course provides the basics of Chinese communication, builds their confidence in Mandarin Chinese, and allows them to engage in cultural activities like fine arts, music, and even kung fu. 

For 4 to 5-year-olds, teachers focus on teaching basic Chinese characters, advanced oral expression, numbers, graphics, and simple writing.

For those from 6 to 13 years old, writing and vocabulary will be highlighted with the deployment of official domestic Chinese textbooks. Teaching methods are locally customized to students from different cultural backgrounds.

For those who want to take HSK, the school also has tailored listening, speaking, reading, and writing courses.

Both TICC and the Preplingo curriculum are designed to align with the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages and its five goal areas, known as Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities. At TICC and Preplingo, programs immerse students in a theme-based teaching model for a fun and interactive class environment, even when it is online.

Furthermore, the online Chinese classes also equip students with the updated skills that modern education requires. It is the college's mission and hope that students will be prepared through Chinese curriculum to be globally minded and technologically advanced leaders for the 21st century and beyond.
