BEIJING -- China's Ministry of Education has launched a program to facilitate a partnership between employers and universities to customize student tuition, the ministry said on Friday.
The program is expected to train more college graduates who have the most-needed knowledge and skills for the employment market, the ministry said in a press release.
It will provide employers with a platform through which partner universities and colleges can provide customized training programs of one academic year or more, or short-term projects ranging from a few weeks to a semester, according to the ministry.
Employers can also provide regular internships for students who have joined the program, and establish fast-track recruitment cooperation with partner universities.
The ministry urged universities to actively cooperate with employers and organize for students to join the program.
