The National Technology Transfer Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University headquartered in Xi'an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China has been trying hard to promote the transformation of scientific research achievements since its establishment in June, 1999.  

According to Wang Wen, director of the center, the National Technology Transfer Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University is an intermediary service agency that represents Xi'an Jiaotong University in the industrialization and capitalization of its scientific and technological achievements. It is the business incubator of Xi'an Jiaotong University.  

In 2001, the center became one of the first "national technology transfer centers" recognized by the State Economic and Trade Commission and the Ministry of Education.

In 2008, it was recognized as one of the first national technology transfer demonstration institutions by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and in 2021 it was named a national technology transfer institution of university specialization by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education.  

Wang said that the center has created a project incubator called 6352 in order to implement the requirements of "deploying the innovation chain around the industrial chain and laying out the industrial chain around the innovation chain".  The project is meant to promote the reform of talent training mechanisms in colleges and universities and the local transformation of scientific and technological achievements.  

The 6352 incubator project will gather relevant elements, such as the future Institute of Technology (incubator), a modern industry college (incubator), the Silk Road International College (incubator), an enclave incubator, a venture capital platform and a trading platform, said the director.  

The "6352" project specifically refers to entering the innovation port by gathering 6 resources such as "government, industry, university, research, application and funding", jointly building the 3 incubators of modern industrial technology, future technology and international cooperation, improving the 5 ecological environments of policy, finance, service, supporting facilities and law (intellectual property), and establishing the 2 platforms of venture capital and trading,

In recent years, the center has focused on building the school's industry-university research system and its double first-class disciplines, with an effect in Shaanxi and across the whole country. It has made great efforts to build a management team with professional and technical managers as the core, and gradually built itself into a unique professional technology transfer organization, Wang said.
