Xi'an Jiaotong University headquartered in Xi'an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China, held the 7th Silk Road Spring Symposium for Distinguished Young Scholars on April 16.

In the form of a live webcast, the seminar invited outstanding young talents from 21 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan and Singapore, as well as outstanding scholars from domestic brother universities and research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to join the "cloud" to participate in the online conference.
At the meeting, a talent recruitment publicity film of Xi'an Jiaotong University was broadcast in which young scholars from all over the world were sincerely invited to join Xi'an Jiaotong University to work hand in hand to promote social development and serve national needs.

Lei Lili, director of Human Resources Department of Xi'an Jiaotong University, introduced the school's development, talent environment, talent plans and local policies, and said that Xi'an Jiaotong University has been committed to leading the development of higher education since it was founded 125 years ago and moved to Xi'an 65 years ago. It has made outstanding contributions in cultivating talents, promoting scientific and technological progress, serving social development, realizing cultural innovation, and promoting international exchanges and cooperation.
The Silk Road Spring Symposium for Distinguished Young Scholars is a professional development exchange event for global outstanding young scholars launched by Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2015. In 2016, it was upgraded to a high-level talent forum regularly held by the Shaanxi provincial Party committee and government. The symposium has now been held six times, and more than 1,500 outstanding young scholars from more than 30 countries and regions at home and abroad have been invited to attend. The symposium is a platform where young scholars can develop a deep understanding of Xi'an Jiaotong University and Shaanxi Province.
