The second phase of an "academician and teenagers face to face" activity was held on Dec 28 in Xi'an No. 26 middle school, Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China to ignite the students’ dreams by the light of the academician's wisdom.

Sponsored by the Talent Office of the Shaanxi provincial Party committee and the Talent Office of the Xi'an municipal Party committee, the series of activities plays an extremely important role in promoting youth quality education, cultivating patriotic feelings and strengthening ideals and beliefs as well as talent training.  

Guo Liejin, professor and doctoral supervisor of Xi'an Jiaotong University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with the theme of "hydrogen-hydrogen energy-hydrogen electricity mutual transformation and complementation → sustainable development road of human energy power supply system", brought a brilliant academic report to teachers and students through an "online + offline" lecture mode, sharing cutting-edge technology and discussing the struggles and responsibilities of life with the young students.

Energy regeneration drives development and innovation drives the future. In his lecture, academician Guo told the students the secret of hydrogen electricity mutual transformation and complementarity, and talked about the future of sustainable development of human energy and power supply systems.

In the interactive exchange after the lecture, the students scrambled to ask questions, and academician Guo kindly answered them. He hoped that the students could gain something from this activity, firm up their ambition to serve the country, cultivate the spirit of science, live up to their youth, and study hard. In the future, they could aspire to doing forward-looking basic research, seeking major theoretical breakthroughs and scientific and technological innovation, producing leading original achievements, and helping realize the dream of strengthening the country for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
