Chang'an University holds the first traffic culture festival and intelligent technology achievement exhibition

Chang'an University, headquartered in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, held its first traffic culture festival and intelligent technology achievement exhibition on Nov 7, showcasing the advances in highway traffic culture and associated 'black technology'.

The opening ceremony of the first traffic culture festival and intelligent technology achievement exhibition is held at the university on Saturday.

The two-day activity, with the theme of "transportation changing the world and intelligence leading the future", focused on road traffic, automobile culture, information technology, intelligent equipment and intelligent detection, as well as the achievements of school traffic culture development and the outstanding research results of teachers and students in the fields of highway traffic and intelligent control.

The activity is also one of the series of activities of Chang'an University is putting on to welcome its 70th anniversary.

Over nearly 70 years of development, Chang'an University, relying on its professional characteristics and advantages, has formed a "big transportation" discipline system with transportation engineering as its main body, civil engineering, geological resources and geological engineering and other related disciplines as the support subjects, and incorporating transportation infrastructure construction, traffic geology and environment, transportation energy and materials, future transportation and other fields. A large number of scientific and technological innovations have provided important scientific and technological support for national construction and the development of the highway transportation industry, the Party secretary said.

“The exhibition's multifunctional road-integrated inspection vehicle, automatic driving vehicle, VR-based tunnel intelligent inspection platform, driving behavior information fusion and feature extraction integration test platform are representative achievements of the school's science and technology innovation,” Chen said.

Sha Aimin, president of Chang'an University, hoped to take this traffic culture festival and scientific and technological achievements exhibition as an opportunity to further promote the scientific and technological popularization of transportation, and contribute to the development of disciplines and the construction of transportation science.
