The International College of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) recently held a hanfu (a type of traditional clothing of the Han ethnic group) experience event for international students on its Chang'an campus.

Twenty-two students from nine countries took part in this unique cultural experience activity.

During the activity, Chinese students showcased different hanfu forms, traditional Chinese etiquette, painting and calligraphy, Chinese folk music and Chinese classical dance for the international students.

The international students were dressed in hanfu and took graduation photos on the campus. They also expressed their desire to learn more about traditional Chinese culture.

"I missed a lot of opportunities to get to know Chinese culture outside after the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic. The event is quite great. I hope this kind of event can be held more often," said Abbas Malik, an international student from Pakistan.

In the future, the International College of NPU will continue to build mutual learning platforms for Chinese and international students, and help international students to learn more about Chinese traditional culture.
